Austin police investigating stabbing incident

Austin police are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Friday morning.

According to Austin Police Capt. Todd Clennon, police responded to a call at about 1:50 a.m. on Friday at a residence in the 200 block of First Street Southeast, where police made contact with the stabbing victim.

Clennon said that a suspect was taken into custody; however, police are still in the early stages of the investigation and no further information is available at this time.
