Ag, Food Science donates to United Way
Riverland Community College’s Ag and Food Science Technology Club donated $400 its members received in donations from various Austin-area business owners and local farmers as part of their Ag Club fundraiser.
The club conducted is annual Corn Grain Drive in November, where they collected donations for the United Way.
Club members agreed that the drive was a great chance to provide charitable donations to assist in individuals’ basic needs by connecting community members with community resources, particularly health, income, education, and basic needs.
Club chairwomen for the project were club president Kayline Schechinger and secretary Hayley Wedin.
Adviser for the group is Nick Schiltz.
